Abby Williams is a dedicated Athletic Trainer with a year of experience at our organization, where she plays a crucial role in providing first aid and immediate care for on-field injuries, as well as focusing on injury prevention, diagnosis, and treatment.
Abby’s journey into athletic training began in high school after undergoing shoulder surgery during the same year the Denver Broncos won Super Bowl 50. This experience ignited her passion for combining sports with rehabilitation. After graduating from Pinedale High School in 2017, she returned home with a deep appreciation for the vital role athletic trainers play in rural communities.
Her educational path led her to earn a Master’s in Athletic Training, graduating summa cum laude with a 4.0 GPA. Abby’s professional training includes certifications as a Licensed Athletic Trainer, Certified Athletic Trainer, and Corrective Exercise Specialist. Her extensive experience during graduate school rotations includes working with high school and collegiate teams in football, volleyball, soccer, swimming, diving, beach volleyball, baseball, water polo, and triathlon, as well as professional baseball.
Abby’s key strengths include her emergency response training, excellent communication skills with coaches and medical personnel, and her empathetic support throughout the rehabilitation process. A notable accomplishment in her career is the establishment of an athletic training program at Pinedale High School, which underscores her commitment to advancing sports health services in her community.
Outside of her professional life, Abby enjoys hiking, fishing, card making, and biking. She finds motivation in helping young athletes thrive in areas with limited access to healthcare professionals. A fun fact about Abby is that she once met Vonnie B’VSean Miller while sporting a chicken hat!
Abby is an active member of the National Athletic Trainers; Association (NATA), reflecting her dedication to maintaining high standards in her field and staying engaged with ongoing professional development.
