Meet Hazel Kennard, a dedicated Office Assistant at Proactive Rehabilitation since September 2024. Hazel plays a key role in helping the office run smoothly by assisting patients with scheduling and supporting administrative tasks that ensure seamless operations for both therapists and patients. Her cheerful attitude and commitment to excellent service make her an invaluable part of the team.

Hazel’s journey to Proactive Rehabilitation stems from her personal experience recovering from injuries as a ballet dancer in her youth. This sparked a passion for the physical therapy environment and a desire to contribute to others’ healing journeys. Prior to joining Proactive, Hazel held various administrative positions, where she honed her organizational skills and developed a deep appreciation for working with people.

Hazel earned a Bachelor of Science in Sociology with a minor in Spanish, graduating Magna Cum Laude. During her academic journey, she was recognized as the Outstanding Senior in Sociology and received the Undergraduate Research Award for her achievements.

Hazel’s key strengths include her cheerful demeanor, strong organizational skills, and genuine desire to serve her community. She is passionate about fostering a positive experience for both patients and staff, ensuring everyone feels supported and valued.

Outside of work, Hazel enjoys reading, baking, running, and exploring the outdoors with her husband and dog. She finds inspiration in the progress patients make during their rehabilitation journeys and loves collaborating with her colleagues at Proactive Rehabilitation.

A fun fact about Hazel: When she was 14, she accidentally kicked herself in the head while tumbling and had to get 18 stitches! Hazel’s dedication to helping others and her vibrant personality make her a cherished member of the Proactive Rehabilitation team.
